Dear Lottery Weekly Draw Names 2026: Every Draw by Day and Time
All 21 Dear weekly draw names for 2026 by day and time, which state runs each, why every draw has a different name, and the older names (Dear Narmada, Dear Stork…) still searched.
There are 21 regular Dear draws a week — three a day at 1 PM, 6 PM and 8 PM. Each has its own name, and each name repeats on the same weekday every week. The 1 PM draws (Dear Rise to Dear Wish) and 8 PM draws (Dear Clover to Dear Magic) are run by Nagaland. The 6 PM draws (Dear Legend to Dear Empire) are run by Sikkim. Every draw is a separate weekly lottery — that's why there are so many names. Older names such as Dear Narmada Saturday and Dear Stork Saturday belong to earlier schedules.

Filled in from the same schedule as our result pages, so it always matches them.
Results sites often add the weekday and the word "weekly" to the name — "Dear Elite Saturday Weekly Lottery", "Dear Regal Wednesday Weekly Lottery" — but it's the same draw. "Saptahik" is the Hindi and Bengali word for weekly, so "Dear saptahik lottery" means these same weekly draws.
This schedule has been in use since at least November 2025 and is the one on our result pages every day: 1 PM, 6 PM, 8 PM.
Why every draw has a different name
It comes from the law. The Lotteries (Regulation) Act, 1998 says "no lottery shall have more than one draw in a week" (section 4(h)). A state that wants to draw three times a day can't run one lottery 21 times a week — it has to run 21 separate weekly lotteries. Each needs its own name, so each slot gets seven names, one per weekday.
So "Dear Vision" isn't the 1 PM lottery on Saturdays: it is a lottery, drawn once a week, every Saturday at 1 PM. The same act caps bumper draws at six per lottery per calendar year (section 4(j)).
Which state runs which draw
- 1 PM and 8 PM — Nagaland. Run by the Directorate of Nagaland State Lotteries in Kohima. Nagaland's official scheme list covers its Dear 1 PM and 8 PM weekly schemes from 3 November 2025.
- 6 PM — Sikkim. Run by the Directorate of Sikkim State Lotteries in Gangtok.
This matters when you claim a big prize: a 1 PM or 8 PM winner claims from Nagaland, a 6 PM winner from Sikkim. Before November 2025, coverage often credited 6 PM draws to Nagaland, which is why older articles disagree.
Names by draw time
1 PM — Nagaland
Monday Dear Rise, Tuesday Dear Shine, Wednesday Dear Spark, Thursday Dear Star, Friday Dear Victory, Saturday Dear Vision, Sunday Dear Wish. Results sites also call this the "Dear Morning" draw — "lottery sambad morning" searches mean the 1 PM result.
6 PM — Sikkim
Monday Dear Legend, Tuesday Dear Prestige, Wednesday Dear Regal, Thursday Dear Supreme, Friday Dear Crown, Saturday Dear Elite, Sunday Dear Empire. Also called the "Dear Evening" draw.
8 PM — Nagaland
Monday Dear Clover, Tuesday Dear Destiny, Wednesday Dear Dream, Thursday Dear Fame, Friday Dear Horizon, Saturday Dear Lucky, Sunday Dear Magic. Also called the "Dear Night" draw.
All 21 draws use the same regular prize structure: ₹1,00,00,000 1st prize, ₹1,000 consolation, ₹10,000 2nd, ₹500 3rd, ₹250 4th and ₹120 5th, on a ₹7 ticket. Our result sheet guide explains each line.
Older names you may still see
Draw names change every few years when a state issues a new scheme. The old names stay in search results, on archive pages and on tickets people kept. These sets are still listed by results sites alongside the current names:
| Day | Older 1 PM names (rivers) | Older 8 PM names (birds) |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Dear Dwarka | Dear Finch |
| Tuesday | Dear Godavari | Dear Goose |
| Wednesday | Dear Indus | Dear Pelican |
| Thursday | Dear Mahanadi | Dear Sandpiper |
| Friday | Dear Meghna | Dear Seagull |
| Saturday | Dear Narmada | Dear Stork |
| Sunday | Dear Yamuna | Dear Toucan |
Other older names are still searched too — Dear Dancer, Dear Hill, Dear Lake, Dear Sea and Dear Wave among them. We haven't been able to tie each of these to a slot and date from an official source, so check such a ticket by the date and time printed on it. Sikkim's earlier morning draws, for comparison, had names like Dear Breeze, Dear Fresh and Dear Bloom (2019).
If your ticket has one of these older names, it's from an earlier draw. Check it against the result for the date printed on the ticket, in the old results archive — not against today's sheet.
Other Nagaland draws that aren't on the daily schedule
Nagaland's official live-draw page lists more than the daily draws: Dear 1 PM, 8 PM, Monthly and Bumper, plus a separate group of Dear 20, 50 and 100 draws. These are separate lotteries with their own tickets, prices and prize lists:
- Monthly draws — for example, the Dear 2000 Monthly Lottery (drawn 9 August 2025).
- Dear 50 and similar — weekly draws with a higher ticket price, such as the Dear 50 Saturday draws held at 4 PM in 2024.
- Bumpers — festival draws with crore-level first prizes. All 2026 bumpers so far cost ₹500 and paid ₹3 crore. See our bumper guide.
Their results come on their own sheets. A bumper ticket is never checked against the regular 1 PM, 6 PM or 8 PM result, even when it's drawn on the same evening.
"Ekta", "chhota", "aatta": the draws by their Bengali names
Many buyers in Bengal don't use the draw names at all. They name the draw by its time, in Bengali — which is why searches like "lottery sambad atta" and "chhota lottery" are so common:
| Said in Bengali | Meaning | Draw | State |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ekta (একটা) | One o'clock | 1 PM | Nagaland |
| Chhota (ছটা) | Six o'clock | 6 PM | Sikkim |
| Aatta (আটটা) | Eight o'clock | 8 PM | Nagaland |
Results sites, in Hindi and English, call the same three draws the "morning", "evening" and "night" draws. Whatever the label, the draw is fixed by its time: an "aatta" ticket bought on a Saturday is Dear Lucky.
When the names change
Names change only when a state issues a new set of schemes, from a fixed date. Nagaland's current 1 PM and 8 PM schemes run from 3 November 2025. When it happens:
- Old tickets stay valid for their own draw. A ticket is checked against the result for the date and time printed on it, under the name it carries.
- Claim deadlines don't move. A Nagaland claim is still due within 30 days of that ticket's draw.
- Results sites lag. For a while after a change, many pages keep the old names in titles and tables. Our result pages use the names on the official sheet.
How to use the name when checking a ticket
- Start with the date and time on your ticket. They tell you exactly which sheet to open.
- Use the name to confirm. The name on the result sheet should match the one on your ticket. If it doesn't, you have the wrong day or the wrong slot.
- Watch the midnight gap. Between midnight and 1 PM, some pages still show yesterday's 8 PM result under yesterday's name. Today's name only appears once today's draw is held.
Name and weekday always go together. If a page shows "Dear Lucky" on a Tuesday, it's mislabelled — Dear Lucky is Saturday's 8 PM draw.
